Our second stop was at the fashion Pavilion where H&M introduced the winner in their new founded design award with a big fashion show. 14 fashion colleges in 6 countries have been competing for the prize and the jury has worked thoroughly for a long time to choose a winner. This year the lucky winner was Stine Riis from Copenhagen with her collection “Decadence & Decay”. The show was great, I loved the cuts and the colour. Hopefully many of the pieces will be put into production.
When we left Tiger’s show at the Fashion Pavilion it was snowing from all directions. We took cover at the Nobis Hotel where the Intersection Magazine had their launch. We browsed through the magazine, had a glass of wine (or two) , said hi to some friends and four ducks before we took a taxi over to the Old Town and…
Our second day at Stockholm Fashion Week started with The Local Firm who did one of the best shows of the week. Shiny down jackets, leg-warmers with high heels, see through skirts worn over trousers, LP record look-a-like bags and THE red bomber jacket!
My plan before Stockholm Fashion Week was to publish a blog post as often as I could in between the shows but as you may have noticed – that didn’t happen. I was lucky if I had time to eat in the few minutes I had, running from one show to another! But I have hundreds of photos in the camera from the shows so prepare for a SFW bonanza the next coming days!
The autumn/winter at Carin Wester is bright with colours like grey, white, yellow and turquoise. Favourites: the ripped skirts with fringes underneath, the white bomber jacket and the big folded, slouchy bags.
This is how I looked like on my last day in Stockholm. It hasn’t been many outfit posts from Sweden and that’s because I’ve been looking the same almost every day. It’s been freezing outside so I had to borrow a winter jacket and a pair of boots from a friend (wearing Converse in the snow – not a good idea) and I’ve lived in them ever since. When I had to return them I bought this baseball jacket from Zara (and had to wear the freeeezing Converse again). To bad I can’t use it in Dubai coz I really like it. I have to get myself something similar for summer.
